Creative Capacity Building (CreCaB)
Creative Capacity Building is designed to strengthen innovation and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning and community engagement. The program prioritizes practical prototyping, design thinking, and grassroots innovation, enabling participants to move beyond theory and actively develop solutions to real-world challenges.
Through a structured, experiential learning approach, participants are guided to identify local needs, apply human-centered design principles, and co-create context-appropriate technologies and systems. Emphasis is placed on rapid prototyping, testing, and iteration using locally available materials, ensuring solutions are affordable, adaptable, and scalable.
Creative Capacity Building brings together students, researchers, artisans, entrepreneurs, and community members in multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. By bridging technical expertise with indigenous knowledge and lived experience, the program nurtures locally driven innovation that responds directly to societal, environmental, and economic challenges.
Ultimately, the program builds long-term creative and technical capacity, empowering individuals and communities to develop sustainable solutions, stimulate entrepreneurship, and contribute meaningfully to inclusive development and resilience.
